Abstract
Soil-transmitted helminthiasis (STH) is a parasitic disease that affects over 1.5 billion people worldwide. The
use of mathematical models to inform time-bound projections and support WHO targets is growing. Never-
theless, there is a lack of comprehensive synthesis regarding the extent to which mathematical frameworks for
STH control account for the timeframe and effectiveness of interventions required to meet WHO programmatic
goals.
